Founded in Boston in 1936 to supply the police, the navy, and other armed forces with technical clothing, today Blauer reinterprets the concept of uniform for independent and cosmopolitan men and women who are sensitive to quality, authenticity, and high-performance materials.

Founded in Boston by Louis Blauer in 1936, the company began producing its own garments in the 1950s. The light grey waterproof jacket it developed was quickly adopted by the army, the navy, and the air force.
Research into materials, solutions, and cuts for both men's and women's clothing led the company to become universally recognized as the best manufacturer of uniforms for public services. It has maintained this leadership position to this day.
In 2001, the Italian group FGF Industry signed a licensing agreement with Blauer to introduce the brand to the fashion market, and later in 2017, FGF acquired 50% of the brand.
Since then, Blauer has specialized in soft, warm, technical, and breathable down jackets that retain heat and alternate real down with sustainable down. These Blauer jackets stay true to the American brand’s DNA, combining materials and fabrics such as garment-dyed nylon with taslan.
